The Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya is located in North Africa between 90°50' E - 250E longitude and 18° 45'N latitude and possesses a Mediterranean coastline of approximately 1820 kilometers in length. Libya has an area of approximately 1775500 Sq. km, and a population of about 4500000, the capital city being Trabulus (Tripoli).
